Gifts to Annual Giving allow CASBS to provide extraordinary opportunities for learning and discovery; to extend the fellowship and post-doc programs; and to help meet emerging needs and challenges. These unrestricted funds give us the flexibility to undertake critical new initiatives such as developing a program in computational social sciences, setting up groups to grapple with specific problems, and attracting world-renowned scholars and scientists before a permanent endowment for the program is fully in place.

Annual Giving has been a central backbone of support for the Center, and the primary way for prior Fellows, Visiting Scholars and friends to help sustain the special features that set CASBS apart. The success of Annual Giving and the spirit of shared experience and mutual encouragement that brings together CASBS Fellows of all generations are essential to the Center's enduring excellence.  In particular, during these challenging financial times, the Annual Giving Program provides critical support for ongoing, annual costs to allow CASBS to continue to raise and grow endowment funding to ensure long-term, stable funding for the Center.
